Kevin Stagg

Kevin owns the Esselle Beat Company, one of Brighton’s longest established studios (to the north of the city near Devil’s Dyke). He is actually Thermionic Culture’s FIRST customer and purchased Phoenix 001 fifteen years ago. He recently sold this (at a vast profit!) and bought two of the 11^th anniversary editions (see picture).

Kevin is currently building a brand new, state of the art studio with a large live room to accommodate full bands. The intention is to record straight to DAW through valve mic. amps without touching solid state so giving a “real” sound to the recording.

To add to his Earlybird 2.2 and Rooster mic. Amps, Kevin has ordered an Earlybird 4, with either a second one / or a Nightingale – possibly both to follow.

The new studio will have natural daylight with AMAZING views across Brighton and the Downs.
