"I was the proud and very ecstatic winner of the Thermionic Culture Pullet equalizer at last fall's AES San Francisco. It was, in my opinion, the best of all the prizes offered by manufacturers in the Gearslutz Treasure hunt give-away. Since I received it I have used it on literally every pop/rock tune I have mixed. It looks and sounds beautiful - I love it! It provides excellent tone shaping capabilities without the harshness found in many other EQs. I really appreciate the selectable frequency centers and Q-widths, they make the unit intuitive to use, easy to control and also very easy to recall. I am currently using it with API make-up gain since I simply cannot afford the Thermionic Early Bird but I would love to hear the combination. I'm sure I would only be more impressed. Even with solid-state make-up gain I can definitely hear the relationship to classic EQs like the Pultec. The Pullet is smooth, clean, and very enjoyable to use. "
