Dave Hamelin - The Stills

AWARD WINNING CANADIAN ROCK BAND THE STILLS HAVE ADDED A PHOENIX S/C AND ROOSTER TO THEIR ARSENAL.

"When i first got the rooster and phoenix i had a really easy and effortless time dialing in the rooster. the eq is fantastic and the attitude section is awesome for adding a little compression to something without actually affecting the dynamic response. The Phoenix had me perplexed at first cause i simply had never been in the presence of anything like it. It's not obviously heavy handed like a plugin compressor or anything with a really fast attack; it's slow and chunky. over the two months i've had it, it has gone from being something that was sort of a mystery to me, to something almost indispensable. it's a very hi-fi machine, very hyper. i use it on everything now and the master bus has never been happier."

The Stills is a Canadian rock band from Montreal, Quebec, formed in 2000. The band consists of Tim Fletcher (vocals, lead and rhythm guitar), Dave Hamelin (vocals, lead and rhythm guitar), Olivier Corbeil (bass, background vocals), and Liam O'Neil (keyboards, percussion, background vocals), Julien Blais (drums).

On March 28th, 2009, The Stills were awarded 2 Junos (Canada's music awards), in the categories for Best New Group of The Year (despite having already released 3 records), and Best Alternative Album of the Year for their album "Oceans Will Rise". The group also performed their hit song "Being Here" during the televised portion of the awards show the next day.
