TC smoke the competition in pre amp shootout

Here's a chance to listen to the Thermionic Culture Earlybird in action from a mic pre-amp shoot out that was arranged by our Italian distributor Funky Junk. The recording is of a great Italian male vocalist singing a Stevie Wonder track, many other established pre-amps are involved along with two mics; Neumann U87 and Brauner VM1. The recording was made at the Milan SAE by respected Italian engineer, Jamba. The test session was held over the course of a day arranged in groups of up to 20 or so people at a time. The popular choice by the end was we're pleased to hear the Earlybird , and as a consequence engineer Jamba fell in love with the sound and purchased one from Funky Junk Italy!

We urge you when auditioning these files to have a decent monitoring setup to take full advantage of the tests. All recordings are flat, no EQ, or compression.
